Yeast is an essential part of baking. When needed, you can freeze dried yeast in a pack or packet form. These packets are easy to use and will give you some of the dough’s growth enzyme as well as nutritional benefits for the yeast inside.
Yeast loves sugar so if your yeast does not, try adding a few tablespoons of glucose (or white sugar) to the water before mixing it into the other ingredients. This will help it grow faster!
Once dry, place the yeast in the refrigerator until it re-hydrates. Make sure to mix it properly with a spoon or whisk first.

There are many great things you can do with cooked dried foods including baking or adding them as a powder or liquid. A few examples include adding wheat products to make bread, milk to make cookies or pasta, or using them as a source of vitamins and minerals in other recipes.
